What's this cookie about?

This is this blog in a nutshell: Making/creating fabulous things on the, dare I say, cheap side. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm all about frugality. I would say I have a knack for it. I think I got it from my mama; at least that's what the hubby says. Now, just because it's cheap, doesn't mean it's not top quality, not as attractive, not as wonderful, not as...fabulous! If you dare follow me, I'll show you how to whip up some fancy professional looking wedding thank you cards, how to cook a tasty, affordable, and light dinner, how to create a chic welcoming nest, and all the things in between. I'll share my knowledge and I will definitely (if you don't mind) take all of yours. =) Let's have some fun and save some moola along the way.

Fabulessly Yours,
Nancy

Out with the old, in with the new...

This is the beggining of a new era for me. So, I'm saying out with the old, in with the new. What that means exactly; I have yet to really find out. I just got married to an amazing, kind, and super hottie(according to me) man and I'm thinking there may be some changes in store for us. As of now, my first novel assignment is to change my name! I can empathize with women who feel a tinge of sadness as they lose a name they have been known by for so many years. As I felt this way, I decided early on that I would keep my maiden name as my middle name to create a "new" name for myself. I will known be Nancy E.J. Instead of Nancy (no middle name) E. Yay!

This is where my journey on the road to blogger begins. With a new name! I, like many almost-wedded ladies spent my time at various (meaning way too many) wedding related blogs while wedding planning. Along the way, I learned about a website by the name of www.missnowmrs.com. How cute is that?! I quickly head over and started the process. It was unbelievably easy. My only complaint...I wish they would mail everything for you. Wouldn't that be wonderful! I'm on my way now; just have to start with that wonderful social security office that does NOT know that most people work 9-5-ish jobs. Yes, I've heard you can mail your things in and they will send back your certified marriage certificate. But how can I think that they will be considerate enough to place my certificate in an envelope, address it, place a stamp on it, and then send it back my way when they can't even answer their phones. Hmmm.....I don't know. With that said, I'm trying to figure out a way to make it in one morning without having to miss much work. Perhaps Thursday?
